1. What is Classical Osteopathy?
Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) is a hands-on treatment that emphasizes the structure/function relationship of the body. This therapy follows the principle that the body has the ability to self-heal and self-regulate.
Osteopathic treatment is a safe and effective way of treating the body by focusing on facilitating healthy movement of joints and tissues through non-invasive manual therapy, helping to free up the framework of the body. Treatments are provided over the clothing. By working with the interrelated systems and functions of the human body, manual osteopathic therapy can help the body to return to normal health so it can self-heal and self-regulate.
Classically trained Manual Osteopathic Therapists who have been trained at Tier 1 schools have studied advanced levels of anatomy and physiology, usually over the course of 4 years (4200 hours) which included 1000 hours of supervised clinical training at a public clinic.

8. WHY CHOOSE OSTEOPATHY??
I recommend osteopathic treatments to any of my clients who want to move better in their body, improve mechanical dysfunctions they are feeling when they move, and who want to help their body's overall ability to self-regulate and self-heal. I believe a body that moves well, is better at staying healthy and well is all its systems. Movement is good medicine for the body.
